Two high school students, Sasha and Richard, take the same bus everyday. Even though they take the same bus, they live in different worlds. Sasha grew up in a middle-class white family and attended a private school. Richard, a black teenager, went to a public school and lived in a dangerous area. One day, a fire occurred on the bus which left Sasha badly burned while Richard was accused of hate crimes and is now facing a life sentence.
